Register for Fall at GCC & GCC North; Classes Begin Aug. 23, 2008
July 10, 2008The early bird gets the worm, or, better yet, the best classes and lab times! Now is the time to register for fall classes at Glendale Community College (GCC) or Glendale Community College North (GCCN) to achieve the convenient schedule of classes you want for the fall semester.
Classes at both sites begin Sat., Aug. 23, and ongoing registration means some classes may already be full–so don't delay. More than 1,000 courses await you, and there are more than 50 degrees and 50 certificates you can pursue. You can complete the first two years of any degree in any field at GCC and then transfer to a University. And while at GCC or GCCN, you will enjoy lower tuition, smaller classes, quality faculty and close proximity to home–which will save on gas.
Call 623.845.3333 today to register or to request a fall schedule of classes. If you don't know where to begin, visit the Advisement Office in the Enrollment Center at GCC to see an academic adviser! No appointment is necessary. Don't delay! GCC is located at 6000 W. Olive Avenue in Glendale.
The great news for northwest valley students is that GCC North, at 5727 W. Happy Valley Road, will open four brand new buildings for the fall semester. New Instruction (classrooms and labs), Information (library and computer commons), Student Services (enrollment, bookstore, fitness center) and Chiller (HVAC) buildings have more than quadrupled the amount of square feet at this site. Original buildings have been remodeled.
Many new courses, notably biology, chemistry, physical science and their labs, can now be held at this site. In fact, GCCN is now able to offer all the needed classes for several Associates degrees to students who will not need to travel to GCC for certain classes any more. Students pursuing an AA (Associate in Arts), an AGS (Associate in General Studies), or an AAEE (Associate in Arts - Elementary Education) can take all their coursework at GCCN. In the future, even more Associate degrees will be completable at GCCN.
Visit www.gccaz.edu to view classes at either location. Call 623.845.3333 to register for classes at either location.
