CEO & Founder of Jobing.com to Speak at GCC Graduation, May 9

Aaron Matos, CEO and founder of the young and immensely successful local company, Jobing.com, will be the keynote speaker at the 43rd Commencement at Glendale Community College Friday, May 9, at 7 p.m. in the central mall of the campus. Approximately 2,200 students will receive Certificates of Completion or Associate Degrees this academic year; 300 will walk across the stage to personally receive their certificates and diplomas. More than 250 residential faculty members, each in the full regalia of his or her own alma mater, will be present to honor the graduating students. GCC President Dr. Velvie Green will give a welcome address, students will give welcomes in both English and Spanish, and Associated Student Government president Albulena Shemsedini will deliver the Student Comment. Lisa Lewis, Fitness and Wellness faculty member, will deliver the Faculty Comment.

A recognized expert on Internet recruiting, employment branding, and recruitment advertising, Matos is an alumnus of Glendale Community College where he began his education. He also holds a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University. Three times since 2000, Jobing.com has been included on Inc. magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. Jobing.com is a leading media provider of locally-focused online job search, recruiting and talent management solutions designed to connect local employers and job seekers. After the ceremony, refreshments will be served in the courtyard east of the GCC Enrollment Center. The GCC Marimba Ensemble, conducted by Douglas Nottingham, will provide lively music during the reception.
