Fall Job Fair Features More than 60 Employers at GCC, Oct. 24

More than 60 employers offering full, part-time, and seasonal work, as well as internship opportunities, will exhibit and participate in the Fall 2007 Job Fair at Glendale Community College Wed., Oct. 24, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Major employers attending include American Express, Bank of America, Cox Communications, Raytheon, U-Haul, U.S. Border Patrol, and UPS. The public is invited to attend this free event with free parking. Dress professionally and bring your current résumé as employers will be looking for qualified individuals. GCC is located at 6000 W. Olive Ave. in Glendale. Parking is free.

GCC Bands Present Free Concert "Sonic Fusion," Oct. 16

An evening of free, spectacular music is offered to the community by the Glendale Community College Community Band and the GCC Symphonic Winds, under the baton of Director of Bands William Humbert. "Sonic Fusion" will be held Tues., Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center in the northeast corner of the campus, off 59th Ave. at Vogel Ave. The GCC campus is at 59th Ave. and Olive Ave. Parking is free. GCC's Combined Choral Ensembles Present Free Concert, Oct. 18

A free evening of songs so lively they can be described as choral dances is offered to the public at 7:30 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 18, in the Glendale Community College Performing Arts Center (PAC). The PAC is in the northeast corner of the campus, off 59th Ave. at Vogel Ave. "Dance Mix" will feature the Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, the Women's Chorus, and the vocal jazz group "Fever," all directed by Choral Music Director Christopher Langsford. Songs will include music from Aaron Copland, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The evening will also include a "blast from the past" medley. The GCC campus is at 59th Ave. and Olive Ave. Parking is free. For more information, call 623.845.3724.
