GCC Online Class Helps Fit Physical Exercise into Lifestyles
An innovative class to teach busy people how to fit exercise creatively into hectic lives is offered by Glendale Community College beginning Mar. 19 and ending May 4. The Active Living Every Day (ALED) program is like no other exercise class. In fact, students won't exercise at all in this online course. Instead, they'll learn ways to be active every day: at work, at home, on vacation, etc. ALED works because students learn the practical skills to become and stay physically active, such as overcoming barriers to physical activity, setting realistic goals, building confidence, and staying motivated. The class is offered online at www.ActiveLiving.info and costs $145. Call 623.845.3333 to register for PED123, section 2557. For more information about the class, contact Louise Keogh at
louise.keogh@gcmail.maricopa.edu or 623.845.3883.
