GCC Orientations: All You Need to Know about Going to College

You can learn about attending, paying for, and succeeding in college—or helping your child to do so—at several orientation seminars in January at Glendale Community College sites. (GCC Main campus is located at 6000 W. Olive Ave. in Glendale; GCC North is located at 5727 W Happy Valley Road in Glendale.) Each is designed for a slightly different audience. All orientations are free and will include information on:

  • financial aid

  • academic advising

  • counseling/career services

  • student organizations

  • on-campus resources

  • tutoring and more


    New Student Orientations, Jan. 6-11

    Designed for: new students entering college for the first time and generally under 25. Attendance is expected of new students and requires registration; call 623.845.3333 to register for one of the following:

    Designed for: new college students who are usually over 25, students just out of the military, or those who have not attended college for a long time.

    Parent Orientation, Jan. 11

    Designed for: parents of new students registered for spring classes. Parents will learn general college information and how to help their child succeed in college. A reply is required for Parent Orientation; contact 623.845.3233 or info@gc.maricopa.edu by Jan. 5, 2007, to reserve a seat(s). Campus tours are offered as part of Orientation. To take a tour, please request one when you reply.
