Memorials: Honoring and Remembering
Eligibility

College Employees:
College employees who have served a minimum of five years at Glendale Community College are eligible to have a physical memorial placed on their behalf. Persons to be memorialized must have fully retired, relocated to another educational system outside the Maricopa Community Colleges, or be deceased. In the case of retirees or those relocating outside the District, nomination must be made by GCC colleagues. In the case of deceased employees, nomination may be made by surviving family members or colleagues.

Family Members, Members of Civic Organizations, Students and Others:
Memorials to family members of employees or other persons who have not been employed by Glendale Community College will be handled on an individual basis. As much as the college is a member of a greater community, a community whose members often support specific programs or the greater mission of the college, consideration will be given to the service and contributions of each individual and an appropriate form of honoring and remembrance decided upon.

With the sole exception of certain civic entities, which have a long standing agreement with the college, the college will not enter into agreements to routinely place physical memorials to community members.
