Physical Memorials
Physical memorials represent the most varied and complex form of honoring and remembrance. They must be appropriate to the individual and the campus and comply with District policy and local ordinances. Memorials must also be integrated into master plans, appropriately located, maintained and inventoried. Whereas other forms of honoring and remembrance are addressed by specific policy and a single office, physical memorials require the input of many and are ultimately decided by the President. The President is assisted in this task by an ad hoc advisory committee.
