Forms of Rememberance: Overview
Honoring may take many forms, from endowments and scholarships to unrestricted gifts and physical memorials on campus. Regardless of the form, each memorial remembers those whose service or contribution provided opportunities for others at Glendale Community College. The categories below identify options for memorial giving and the college's preferred forms for honoring and remembering. These categories are not meant to be all-inclusive, rather to provide forms of giving that are simpler, financial and that directly benefit students and education. An overview and policy reference or college point of contact for a each category of memorial giving is provided.
Glendale Community College is a very special place to work. The College is proud of each of its employees and their commitment to providing opportunities for life-long learning to so many. As part of a larger community, Glendale, the college is equally proud of its partners and supporters.
Author Ellen Goodman recently stated that, "traditions are the guideposts driven deep in our subconscious minds." The most powerful ones are those we can't even describe, aren't even aware of." Since 1965, Glendale Community College has established many traditions. Honoring and remembering service and contribution is but one.
