| Hybrid & Online Courses |
To assist students through their Mathematics and Computer Science courses, the Math Department offers courses in traditional and alternate delivery formats. The alternate delivery formats often allow a more flexible environment in which students may complete the course work. If the student chooses an alternate format, it is highly recommended that they have access to a computer with high speed internet access. |

| Course Delivery Formats |
| Traditional (T) |

| |
| Web Based Homework (W) |
May use a traditional textbook or ebook. Meets the normal number of times a week in a traditional classroom environment, but homework is completed online. |
| |
| |
| Computer Assisted (C) |
Meets the normal number of times a week in a computer lab environment. Instruction and homework is provided by means of web-based applications. |
| |
| |
| Hybrid (H) |
Requires the student to attend class 1 to 2 times a week. Instruction provided in class or online lectures, all homework is completed online. Recommended for students who are repeating a course or reviewing material after a break in math courses. |
| |
| |
| |
| Online (O) |
Course materials and homework are accessed by means of web-based applications and can be completed off-campus. Some proctored exams may be given. Students are responsible for locating a Testing Center (and any required fees) if GCC is not geographically accessible. Recommended for students who need a flexible schedule, are independent learners and have strong math study skills. |
