Technology Research and Implementation - Glendale Community College January 2000 to present
- Project Coordinator for campus web site redesign (www.gccaz.edu) and implementation of Microsoft
Office SharePoint Server for campus intranet.
- Developed and maintained multiple database driven web-based
applications using Cold Fusion to streamline support systems for multiple
departments. The following are a short list of examples:
- Network Maintenance Application – Designed and developed web
based database application that enabled network and server administrators the
ability to update weekly maintenance notifications that were used to communicate
both internally and externally to the college, system wide upgrades and
server/network outages.

Designed and developed Web based database application that enabled students and
faculty to have a single point of entry for online, hybrid and open entry
courses.
- Resource Checkout Application (www.gccaz.edu/laptops) – Designed and
developed Web based database scheduling application that managed reservations
for hardware checkout by faculty and staff.
- Change of Master Schedule Application – Designed and developed
Web based database application that managed all Change of Master Schedule
requests for student information system.
- Student Help Desk Documentation Application – Designed and
developed Web based database application that provided a simple documentation
interface for reporting and querying questions/answers based on support for
students.
- Provided instructional support for faculty and staff using
various web based technologies.
- HTML, DHTML, AJAX, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, Adobe
Flash, Adobe Photoshop / Fireworks (including image optimization for web delivery),
digitize video for Windows Media and Real Media delivery.

including administering Microsoft Active Directory.

- Researched, designed, implemented and administered web based assessment
system (Question Mark, Perception). Implemented training and documentation to
provide support for instructors to utilize the Internet to deliver web-based
assessments to their students. Assessments range from open reviews to high
stakes tests. Created multiple web-based applications to interface with Oracle
database that provided question/test management and analysis.
- Developed and maintained images for multiple wireless laptop
classrooms.
- Researched, evaluated and purchased various hardware including
Windows and Mac laptops, scanners, digital cameras, digital camcorders, digital
music and video players, customized PC hardware and various multimedia and
storage devices. I was also responsible for researching and purchasing various
software applications to support instructional use of technology in and out of
the classroom.
- Provided technical support for web-based course delivery system
(Blackboard & Midas). Worked with instructors to optimize and deliver web
based or web enhanced instruction.
- Created and maintained detailed documentation for administrative
and end user support.
- Worked effectively with Faculty and Administration on various
committees and projects.
- Routinely worked with IT staff, Faculty and Administration to
design and implement cost-efficient, effective technology solutions based on
the needs of the college.
Business and Information Technology - Glendale Community College February 1998 to present
- Developed web based distance learning courses for CIS120DC,
Computer Graphics: Flash, CIS220DC, Advanced Web Programming with Flash (Action
Script) and CIS166AA, introduction to JavaScript. Courses were offered through
Open-Entry / Self-Paced sections, utilizing web based delivery, streaming media
tutorials and communication through electronic message boards. Each course
could be started and completed completely online.

- Supervised open lab computer facility, the High-Tech Center contains over 200 IBM compatible and Macintosh PCs. Supervised personnel and managed
multiple technical resources. Provided technical and software support for
students using various software, operating systems and peripherals.
- Provided computer hardware and software support for main campus
computer lab, satellite classrooms, staff and administrative offices.
- Installed, maintained and troubleshot various IBM and Macintosh
software and hardware components including hard drives, video cards, printers,
network cards, cabling, and TCP/IP and/or AppleTalk configuration.
SKILLS
I have excellent interpersonal communication skills and I am
able to communicate clearly and concisely. I enjoy working in a team
environment, but I also work well independently. I possess strong leadership
skills, with the ability to delegate and administer projects to completion. I
am also able to use common language when explaining technical issues to clients
and customers.
