Business Building Remodel Team Spotlight - Technology Support Services (TSS)

No summer is complete without a major computer move! This year, the completion of the Business Building remodel gave IT a chance to contribute to the face-lift of the building.

Resources were re-allocated to provide the business building with robust dual core machines with generous memory from a past GCC campus build project. 200 brand new 19” flat screen monitors with matching mice and keyboards were installed by the team to give these sleek classrooms a uniform and contemporary look.

When students login, they will have a choice of running Windows XP or Vista for course work. This flexibility will allow Business Faculty to teach industry standard applications and concepts to all of their students. Jim Hamilton and Norm Penalosa worked to create this dual capability.

The team has worked hard to move, install, configure and test all machines placed in the Business classrooms to insure a successful launch to the Fall 2009 semester. Technology Support Services is lead by Jeff Necker and his staff members include Doug Penwell, Roger Bond, Bryan Adamson, Gary Mulgrew, Jennifer Toole, Dustin Feinman, David Joiner, Barry Menard, Mike Latham, David Kling, Marcus Daley and Linda Leyva.
