HUM 250/251 Ideas and Values in the Humanities
Course description:
HUM 250/251 is a unique interdisciplinary course which explores the evolution of civilization. A teaching team of instructors, each a specialist in his or her own field, will present the interrelationships of Art, Architecture, Literature, Music, Philosophy, and Religion. Since students are enriched when they gain historical perspective, the arts and philosophy are studied within the context of a social, political, scientific,and economic matrix. Students are invited to explore linkages between culture's physical circumstances and the arts that emerge from culture.
