Onboarding
The Onboarding Team's main responsibility is to process and maintain new hire and returning temporary employees. Temporary employees typically fall into three categories:
Budget Employees
are defined as temporary non work study workers whose salaries are paid from the employee's department budget. All new and returning budget employees must in-process through Human Resources before reporting to their departments. In-processing usually takes approximately 30 minutes. Please

Work Study Employees
are defined as students who work on campus on a part-time basis only. The salary of the Work Study employee is paid through the Federal Financial Aid Program. All new and returning student employees must onboard through Human Resources before reporting to their departments. Onboarding usually takes approximately 30 minutes. Please

Adjunct and Substitute Faculty
are defined as temporary part-time instructors whose salary is paid from the employee's department budget. All new and returning adjuncts must in-process through Human Resources. In-processing usually takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Please

In addition to in-processing new hire and returning employees, the Onboarding Team also:
Ensures employees are eligible to work via the federal I-9 and E-Verify programs
Maintains personnel files
Orders business cards for the GCC Community
Maintains the Employee ID Badge system
Coordinates the Adjunct Faculty, New Employee, and Temporary Employees Orientations.
