Onboarding
The Onboarding Team's main responsibility is to process and maintain new hire and returning temporary employees. Temporary employees typically fall into three categories:
Budget Employees
are defined as temporary non work study workers whose salaries arepaid from the employee's department budget. All new and returning budget employees must in-process through Employee Resources before reporting to their departments. In-processing usually takes approximately 30 minutes. Please

Work Study Employees
are defined as students who work on campus on a part-time basis only. There salary is paid from the federal financial aid program. All new and returning student employees must in-process through Employee Resources before reporting to their departments. In-processing usually takes approximately 30 minutes. Please

Adjunct and Substitute Faculty
are defined as temporary part-time instructors whose salary is paid from the employee's department budget. All new and returning adjuncts must in-process through Employee Resources . In-processing usually takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Please

In addition to in-processing new hire and returning employees, the Onborading Team also:
Ensures employees are eligible to work via the federal I-9 and E-Verify programs
Maintains personnel files
Orders business cards for the GCC Community
Maintains the Employee ID Badge system
Coordinates the Adjunct Faculty, New Employee, and Temporary Employees Orientations.
