Honors Program

Note to Parents

The Honors Program at Glendale Community College certainly recognizes how important you have been to your student's achievements thus far. While this transition from high school to college allows your student some new independence, we would like to offer parents a way to stay involved with your student's success by supporting the Honors Program.

There are several potential ways that you may take a "behind the scenes" approach to supporting the Honors Program:

  • Help plan and participate in Honors Program activities like Welcome Week, Finals Week, graduation celebrations, philanthropic events, and the Honors Forum Lecture Series.
  • Become a resource for prospective parents who may want your perspective on the Honors Program.
  • If your employer is in need of interns, volunteers and/or summer employees, perhaps you could consider our Honors Program students who may be interested in learning more about your field.

We would like to work with you to see how you can best continue to support your students even as they transition into this new independence. If you are interested in taking a lead in coordinating our parent volunteers, please note that as well so we can get this group started.

PLEASE NOTE: The names, phone numbers and email addresses that are collected will be shared with the other interested parents.

To volunteer, please email Jennifer.Lane@gcmail.maricopa.edu

Thank you so much for your continuing support of your students and the Honors Program at Glendale Community College!
