Commuting to and from campus is GCC's largest source of carbon emissions accounting for 51% of our total emissions. To become carbon neutral by 2025, GCC must reduce these emissions by encouraging use of alternate transportation.
Valley Metro's Share-the-Ride
The Trip Reduction Program has partnered with Valley Metro to help you find a carpool match among other GCC Share-the-Ride users.
If you register using your college e-mail, Valley Metro's Share-the-Ride site will find you a carpool match selected from other registered users from GCC. You can choose to widen the carpool search to all Valley users with the click of a button. It's a secure site requiring only the point of origin and destination. Valley Metro will send you an e-mail once a match has been made.

Trip Reduction Program
The Trip Reduction Program website contains information on how to take an active role to improve the quality of the air we breathe by exploring other ways to get to campus: carpool, vanpool, bicycle, bus and compressed schedule–for clearer skies and cleaner air in Arizona.
The City of Glendale has launched a Travel Green website to provide you with information, tools, and resources to make wise choices about how to get around and explore the options in transportation.
