| 1997 | December: | Public Forum #1 held at Mountain Ridge High School to allow Northwest Valley residents a public opportunity to provide input for the Northwest Education Center. | |||
| October: | Northwest Leaders group is convened at GCC and includes a broad spectrum of 70 leading citizens, including school business, city and governmental leaders. | ||||
| September: | GCC North/Northwest Education Center Planning Team of Glendale Community College is convened and includes members from GCC, DVUSD #97 and Arizona State University West (ASUW). | ||||
| February: | Update of GCC North/Northwest Education Center to MCCD Governing Board in cooperation with Deer Valley Unified School District #97 (DVUSD). | ||||
| 1996 | September: | GCC North/Northwest Education Center Steering Sub-Committee, an aspect of Glendale Community College (GCC) Planning is convened at GCC to begin planning of the site. This group included college and community representatives. | |||
| 1994 | $386 million bond issue passed by Maricopa County voters; $2 million allocated for capital development of the northwest site. | |
| 1984 | Maricopa Community Colleges bond monies approved by Maricopa County voters for purchase of a 75 acre site. | |
