The Yoga Sampler(formerly Flex Yoga) class is geared for students that need flexibility in their schedule. Students enrolled in the PED126 section may attend any class offered on the Fall 2009 Yoga Sampler Schedule as their weekly schedule permits. All skill levels are welcome. Attend any Yoga Sampler class at any time!

GCC also offers various styles of Yoga classes to those who prefer a consistent schedule. These classes meet with the same instructor, at the same day and time throughout the semester. These courses are not included in the Yoga Sampler Schedule and focus on a progressive skill building format with Philosophical discussions. Yoga Sampler PED126 Class Descriptions

Yoga Basics: Focus on fundamental yoga postures and combine breathing with the movement to build strength and flexibility. All skill levels. Highly recommended for beginners.

Candlelight Flow: Yoga postures performed in a dynamic movement series designed to increase body temperature, gain strength, flexibility and release toxins. This is an athletic flow form of yoga with the flavor of a cardio workout. Enjoy popular music in a candle lit room. Be prepared to sweat! All skill levels. Bring water.

Yoga Mix: A variety yoga workout using basic yoga postures, dynamic flow, balances and relaxation. Arm balances might be introduced. Recommended for all levels. Bring water.

Intro to Power Yoga: A challenging sequence of yoga postures designed to gain strength, balance and flexibility. Introduction to basic arm balances and basic standing poses.

Power Yoga: Challenging sequence of postures, combined with breath to achieve balance. Advanced arm balances and advanced standing poses are introduced.

Restorative Yoga: Deep relaxation poses utilizing props. Designed to help release toxins and manage stress. Recommended for all levels.
