About Adapted Fitness

Meeting the Needs of Adults with Disabilities

The Adapted Fitness Center is an accessible and user-friendly fitness facility specifically designed for adults with physical limitations and special needs. Our qualified instructors will design an individual fitness program to fit your needs.

What kind of equipment can I use?

  • Upright and semi recumbent Stationary bicycles
  • Upper Body ergometer
  • NuStep
  • Lite Gait - Assistive Walking Device
  • Treadmill
  • Free Weights
  • Standing Frame
  • Wheelchair Accessible Weight Machines

What's required to participate, and how much?

A Medical Release Form may be required before participating.

For the cost of one college credit, plus registration fees, you can work out in the Adapted Fitness Center. This is approximately $85.00 for four months. And, there are scholarships available for those who qualify.

Where is the Adapted Fitness Center located, and what are the hours?

On the main campus, the Adapted Fitness Center is located in the Fitness and Wellness building. Handicapped parking is conveniently located right outside the building.

Monday through Friday 8:00am-12:00pm
Tuesday and Thursday 5:00pm-7:00pm

At GCC North, Adapted Physical Education classes are located in Building C.
