Perkins Loans
Perkins Loan (formerly NDSL):
- Maximum award is $2,000 per academic year.
- The availability of Perkins Loan funds is very limited. Please check with the Financial Aid office.
- Eligibility is based on the Federal definition of EXCEPTIONAL NEED. Student must complete an Exit Interview with the SFA Office each year or at the time when enrollment is less than six credit hours.
- Borrower is obligated to keep GCC informed of address changes.
- Repayment is a minimum of $30 per month beginning nine months after dropping below six credit hours.
- Interest rate is 5% per annum–LOAN MUST BE REPAID.
