Federal Work Study (FWS) ProgramFederally funded and permits the college to create a job while you earn credits required for your education. These part-time jobs generally will not exceed twenty (20) hours per week with the rate of pay equal to at least the minimum wage. If you qualify for Federal Work Study Program you can earn $8.00 an hour helping Glendale elementary school children improve their reading skills. Tutoring schedule is flexible and training is included.

- No criminal record. Schools will complete a fingerprint background check. This process takes time (sometimes 2-3 weeks) so apply as soon possible to avoid delays. - Must be available to tutor between the hours of 8 am and 2:30 pm.
- Reliability! It is very important that once you commit to the America Reads program that you complete the semester-remember kids will be depending on you!
