Free Application for Federal Student Aid
How Do I Apply?
There are three ways to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):
- Paper application
- student (& spouse, if married; or parents, if considered dependent) completes a paper FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA and then mails the document to the FAFSA Processor.
- FAFSA on the WEB
- student (spouse, if married; or parents, if considered dependent) completes the application on-line, data is transmitted directly to ED Processor. Student must print, sign and mail Signature Page to FAFSA Processor to complete process or sign on-line electronically using your 4-digit PIN issued by the Department of Education (your parents will need their own PINs to sign also if you are considered dependent). For more information on PINs you may visit
http://www.pin.ed.gov
- Renewal FAFSA on the WEB
- student accesses Renewal FAFSA on the WEB, using their PIN. Student udpates/completes the application on-line, transmits data directly to ED Processor.
We recommend doing FAFSA on the WEB or Renewal FAFSA on the WEB. It is a faster process and you will receive your results sooner than if you do the paper process.
