Master Promissory Note
Please read through the following items before beginning.To complete your MPN on-line you will need the following information:
1. Approximately 30 minutes. The MPN must be completed in a single session, be sure to allow enough time for completion.
2. Your Federal Student AID PIN. Please visit the PIN Site if you do not know your PIN.
3. The following personal information will be required - permanent mailing address, mailing address if different from your permanent address, telephone number and email address.
4. In addition, you will need your Employer Name and address.
5. You will also need two references. Your references should be people who have known you for at least 3 years and the first reference should be a parent or legal guardian. You will need the names, addresses and telephone numbers of your references.
Reminder: All loans are distributed in two (2) disbursements.
Accessing your loan history:
You may access your prior loan information on the National Student Loan Database. NSLDS contains all of your Title IV aid history, including the lender and or servicer of all student your loans
Students awarded a Stafford loan can complete and sign (e-sign) their Master Promissory Note (MPN) on-line by visiting https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action. This MUST be done before you can receive your student loan funds.
