General Information
Enrollment status is based on the TOTAL number of credits in: Full-Time – 12+ credit hours; ¾ Time – 9-11 credit hours; ½ time – 6-8 credit hours;Less than ½ time - .5 to 5 credit hours
Schedule Adjustment Dates: You will be awarded ONLY for credits in which you are REGISTERED for on this date.
Summer Session I – May 30, 2012
Summer Session II – July 3, 2012
Tuition and Fee Deferral Deadlines
If eligible, your tuition and fees may be deferred. All required documents must be complete and received by the deadline and a Valid Student Aid Report should be received 30 days prior to the deadline.
Summer Deadline - April 1, 2013
Satisfactory Academic Progress must be met to be eligible for Summer financial aid. Please refer to the
Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy on GCC's Financial Aid Website for additional information.
Pell Eligibility

Students will be awarded based on their Pell eligibility
Federal Direct Loans
Students who borrowed the maximum annual loan amount during the Fall 2012 and/or Spring 2013, and have NOT progressed a grade level (from a freshman to sophomore), are not eligible for Summer loans.
Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at GCC to be eligible for a loan.
All loans will be disbursed in 2 disbursements.
First-time borrowers are ONLY eligible for loans if registered for courses that are at least 31 days in length.
Students must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and a Master Promissory Note at
http://www.studentloans.gov prior to receiving their funds.
Federal Work Study
You must be enrolled in at least 3 hours to receive Federal Work Study.
Funds awarded for Summer Session I must be earned by June 30, 2012.
If you financial aid package includes a Federal Work Study (FWS) award to begin earning these funds you must follow the FWS hiring process. This process can be found on our web site under
Federal Work Study, just click on "Steps to find employment", or contact the GCC Career Services Office at 623-845-3283.
Payment
Student refunds will be processed through the
Maricopa Student Refund Program (MSRP)
New GCC students will receive an email in their Student Email account with instructions in setting up their MSRP
