Academic Advisement
Academic advisors are available to students in the Enrollment Center (EC) on the main campus on a walk-in basis, and by appointment at GCC North. Students enrolling in English, Reading, or Mathematics courses, or any course which has an English, Reading or Mathematics prerequisite must take a placement test prior to registration. All students are encouraged to seek academic advisement to discuss programs, academic progress, assessment, course placement, and educational planning. Any student scoring in a designated decision zone on a placement test, veterans on restrictive status, and speakers of language other than English must see an academic advisor prior to enrolling.
