Recycle Program

Facilities Management coordinates recycling and shredding services for the college.

What is Recyclable?
Aluminum. Cardboard. Cartons. Chipboard. Mixed Paper. Plastic Containers. Steel/Tin. This section lists the items that are recyclable at GCC.

Recycle Coordinators
This is a list of the faculty and staff by building that have volunteered to assist with the campus recycling efforts.

Green Efforts
GCC's Green Efforts committee facilitates and promotes campus information on and efforts toward sustainability, recycling, and awareness of environmental issues.

Commingled Recycling Services
GCC provides single stream/commingled recycling services. Commingled means no sorting required. There are several containers on campus designated for recycling. This section provides information on acceptable items and the various containers.

Employee & Student Recognition
Do you know an employee, group, or student that has promoted or expanded green efforts on campus or the community? Please complete the recognition form for the Green Efforts "Gaucho Recycle" Award.

Map of Recycling Stations
There are various containers on campus designated for recycling. A map of the recycling stations is available for download.

Miscellaneous Item Recycling
There are collection sites on campus for miscellaneous items that can be recycled, but are not acceptable items in our recycling containers. Employees volunteer to collect these items and transport them to a recycle center.

Recycle Pick-up Requests
If the recycle container in your area is full and you would like to request a recycle pick-up, please complete the Work Order Request Form or contact Chanda Fraulino at 623-845-4931.

Zero Waste Program
The Zero Waste program is an initiative to: minimize waste. maximize recycling, and reduce consumption. Complete the Zero Waste Participant Form to volunteer to participate in the program.
