GCC is committed to providing a fully integrated and accessible campus environment for students with disabilities. Students with disabilities are encouraged to contact the Disability Services and Resources (DSR) office at the beginning of the admission process to discuss service needs.
The DSR office provides support services which include: academic and career advising, registration, financial aid application assistance, and educational plans for Vocational Rehabilitation and Veterans Administration.
Students requesting accommodations must provide documentation for the academic aids. Some academic aids provided by the DSR office, as appropriate are: readers, note takers, testing accommodations (including proctors, scribes), sign language interpreters and assistance with adapted computer programs. The DSR will need a reasonable amount of time to provide services. Every attempt will be made to provide services in a timely manner.
