GCC’s Center for Teaching Learning and Engagement fosters student success by supporting the college’s employees. The Center:
Facilitates and encourages professional development of all employees;
Provides networking opportunities for all employees to build a sense of community and collaboration;
Provides technology support and workshops to enhance personal skills, teaching, and learning;
Encourages classroom research into new instructional strategies, methods, and innovations;
Encourages scholarly research;
Promotes research-based best practices in pedagogy and andragogy;
Encourages employees to reflect on their own practices, to gain new insights, and learn new ideas and strategies from each other.

The Vision of the CTLE is to be the pride of the campus that is a Welcoming, Encouraging, Motivating, Rewarding, Engaging, Education, and Interactive environment, the place campus and District administrators show off to visitors.
Mission:
The Mission of the CTLE is to become the primary source for professional development for all employees and serve as the main center for faculty development by organizing campus initiatives for faculty, learning grants, teaching grants, and research.
