Bobby was unable to attend the meeting due to illness. He will present next month at the April 12th meeting.

GCC Logo's

Since Bobby and was unable to attend the meeting, Trish Fogel gave us a short update on the new GCC logo. She informed the group that the logo represented a major redesign in that market research had shown that our students recognize us not as Glendale Community College as much as just GCC. As a result, logo has the letters GCC and not the words Glendale Community College. The new logo has strict color and size requirements. The logo also contains text which must be included when the logo is displayed. More about this from Bobby next month.

Gary reminded everyone that the Ocotillo chair was disappearing and that a new Ocotillo structure for technology and learning had been established. Action groups would be formed around the Ocotillo learning inititives. In addition, each campus would have one campus rep that would meet once a semester with other campus representatives to help coordinate learning technologies across the district. even though all the new focus is on action groups the coordination and synergy which has been a major emphasis at Ocotillo will still exist. The Ocotillo retreat has been scheduled for May 18 at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens .
