Mail Services
Where are you located?
Answer: We are located inside of the IKON Copy Center right next to the bookstore in the 05 Building (see campus map).
What are your hours of operation?
Answer: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
Where can I leave mail?
Answer: A secured mail box is conveniently located just outside of the Copy Center where you can drop both intercampus and outgoing mail. It will be checked at 8:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
Can I pick up my mail from the mailroom?
Answer: No. The new mailroom sorting area is located inside the IKON Copy Center and space is limited.
How will I receive my mail?
Answer: Mail will be delivered to your department once a day and it will be dispersed by the department representative. You will be contacted by IKON this week and a representative will be identified as well as the pick-up and delivery location. If an IKON representative has not contacted you by October 9, 2009, please contact Chanda Grabowski to arrange a pick-up and delivery location.
When will I receive my mail?
Answer: Current delivery times have not yet been established. The permanent delivery schedule will be published on the website once IKON has contacted each department and spoken with the department representative.
Will mail be pre-sorted?
Answer: All mail will be delivered to the department representative and sorted by the department. IKON will separate intercampus and U.S. Mail.
If the department representative is out, who will receive and sort the mail?
Answer: Please notify the mail room if no one is available to accept your department mail. It will be kept in the mail room until the representative returns or until you notify us to resume delivery.
Can I still come to the mailroom to pick up or drop off mail?
Answer: No. Space is limited, please drop off mail in the drop box conveniently located outside the Copy Center.
When will internal mail be delivered if you pick it up today?
Answer: Most intercampus mail picked up today will be sent out the next business day. Delivery depends on the mail services at the other campus.
Do I need to presort outgoing mail?
Answer: To help expedite delivery please sort regular U.S. Mail from intercampus envelopes and IKON will do the rest for you.
Will you be delivering packages?
Answer: No. Package delivery will still be handled through Campus Receiving.
Do you process "special" outgoing mail (i.e. signature required, insured, etc.)
Answer: The mailroom will only process official school business mailings.
How do I track "special" mail?
Answer: The only "special mail" that we do in the mailroom is certified mail. There is no real tracking of this mail, only confirmation of delivery. On your receipt there will be a code that you can enter online at www.usps.com to see if your piece has arrived at its destination. We do not do any overnight or express mail through the mailroom. How do I process Bulk Mail?
Answer: Bulk mailings rules and regulations can be found at www.usps.com. If you have 200 or more of the exact same mailing contact Chanda Grabowski in the mailroom and she will be happy to explain further.
Will you weigh personal mail/packages?
Answer: No. IKON will only weigh materials that are college related business.
Can I send personal mail or packages if it is already stamped?
Answer: We can only accept standard sized business envelopes that are stamped.
Can I receive personal mail?
Answer: No. The Mail Room is not responsible for the handling of personal mail. Please utilize the U.S. Postal Service in your area for personal mail usage.
Can I purchase stamps?
Answer: Stamps can be purchased in the Bookstore.
Can I purchase envelopes?
Answer: For your convenience, envelopes and stamps can be purchased in the Bookstore.
Can I send or receive a fax?
Answer: Yes, this service is provided to faculty, students, and staff for a nominal charge. IKON charges $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page thereafter.

How do we notify you of staff changes (new hires, no longer employed, dept. change, name change, etc.)?
Answer: Please notify Chanda Grabowski via e-mail chanda.grabowski@gcmail.maricopa.edu and she'll update the employee directory and this will help you receive your mail faster.
