Copy Services
Question: How do I get copies made?
Answer: If you have access to your department PIN number, you may use any copy machine on campus. These machines are for small volume copying (under 25 pages). If you have more than 25 pages to copy, you should use the Copy Center. The turnaround time on requests is within 24 hours; however, be sure to give them more time before the peak periods of semester startup, mid-terms and final exams.
Question: How do I find out my PIN number?
Answer: Each department has different processes for giving out the department PIN numbers. Many do not give access to adjuncts and require that you turn in your copy jobs to the department secretary. Check with your department to learn how they manage their copy requests.
Question: Are there copyright restrictions on what I can copy for class / students?
Answer: Yes. The Copy Center staff is trained to identify the obvious copyright violations and they will not process the job without clarification. However, it is not their responsibility to check every detail of a copy request. Please make yourself familiar with the law. See the Copyright Guidelines published by our District Legal Department web site, which has a comprehensive discussion of Intellectual Property and copyright law.
Question: Can I submit copy jobs via e-mail?
Answer: Yes, the IKON Copy Center is connected to the GCC network. Use the Copy Center Digital Request form (Excel document) for submitting e-mail jobs. Please read through the instructions on top of the form when sending a job. Check with your department secretary for instructions on how to complete the PIN number section of the request form. The Copy Center can only process requests that are MS Office Documents (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Publisher).
Please send both your completed copy request form and your document file as attachments to your email using this address:
copycenter@gcmail.maricopa.edu, for general e-mail for the Copy Center.
Please call the Copy Center at x53127 if you have any questions.
Question: How do I dispute a copy center charge?
Answer: If you find a problem with the copy job performed (quality or quantity), please notify the copy center immediately so they can work with you to correct the problem. If you wish to dispute a copy center charge (the number of copies charged on a completed job ticket), please complete the GCC Copy Charge Dispute Form and submit to the Copy Center. Include a sample of the problem item or the request form with the incorrect charges. [ Download Copy Charge Dispute Form form in Excel format. ]
