CHM130/130LL: Fundamental Chemistry Lecture and Lab

Introductory Chemistry by Charles H. Corwin (4th edition), ISBN: 0131448501 (front cover shown below). Students are also required to have a basic scientific non-programmable calculator that can carry out exponential functions (indicated with an EE or EXP button) such as a TI-30Xa (shown below).

The CHM130LL lab does not use a bound lab manual. Instead, students will download lab experiments and other handouts from the CHM130LL Website. OSHA-approved splash-proof goggles (see above) are required for lab. (Safety glasses are not acceptable.)

CHM 151/150 and CHM 152: General Chemistry I and II Lecture

Chemistry by John McMurry and Robert C. Fay (5th edition)

General Chemistry has transitioned to a new edition of the textbook.  You may use a new 5th or used 4th edition text or the bookstore's custom edition (brown/blue cover) - Book options are explained here.  Note:  If you choose to use an old 4th edition it is your responsibility to read the appropriate sections and pages for lecture.
