Refunds
All students who have officially dropped or withdrawn from classes within the scheduled deadlines, will be eligible for a refund or tuition credit based upon the Refund Policy.If you drop the class(es) in accordance with the Refund Policy and are eligible for a refund, please follow the steps below:
- Drop the class at Registration, on line at MyMaricopa.edu, or by phone at (623) 845.3333.
- Request a refund from the Cashiers Office
in person or by phone at (623) 845-3589.
If you paid by Cash or FACTS Payment Plan :
Refunds will be processed via the Maricopa Student Refund Program. For further information, visit: MSRP Details. Once a refund is requested, the My Maricopa Student Message Center will direct students to Citibank refund notifications which may be viewed in your Student Center at my.Maricopa.edu.
PLEASE NOTE : It may take 7-10 business days for FACTS Payment Plan payments to post to your student account. When making adjustments to your account creating a credit balance, please allow 10 business days for all credits to post, prior to requesting a refund.
If you paid by Check:
Refunds for check payments will be made after the 15th business day following the original payment posting date. Exceptions to the waiting period will be considered if proof of payment can be verified by canceled check or bank statement provided to the Cashier. Refunds will be processed via the Maricopa Student Refund Program. For further information, visit: MSRP Details. Once a refund is requested, the My Maricopa Student Message Center will direct students to Citibank refund notifications which may be viewed in your Student Center at my.maricopa.edu.
If you paid by Credit or Debit card:
Payments will be refunded to the credit card by which the original charge occurred, no exceptions. If your card has been lost or stolen, the credit card provider will be in contact with you regarding the credit information.
NOTE: It can take up to 10 business days for your credit card account to reflect a credit.
Financial Aid Award Disbursements:
Refunds will be processed via the Maricopa Student Refund Program. For further information, visit: MSRP Details. Once a refund is requested, the My Maricopa Student Message Center will direct students to Citibank refund notifications which may be viewed in your Student Center at my.maricopa.edu.PLEASE NOTE: If you received financial aid and drop below your awarded hours,you may owe money to GCC. For information on credits created by grants or student loans, contact the Financial Aid Office directly at 623-845-3366
If your tuition and fees were paid through a Third Party :
In most cases any credits on a student's account will be refunded to the organization that originally provided payment. For information on credits related to Third Party payments, contact Michelle Berry.
