Frequently Asked Questions about VA Deferments:
What do I do once I've received my VA Deferment?
Once you are granted a VA deferment, it is important that you review your deferment and proceed to the Cashier's Office. From there, a valid state or military ID will be required to submit your VA Deferment. Once the deferment is verified your tuition due date will be deferred to the date on your paperwork.
Can I make partial payments for my VA Deferment?
Yes. You are allowed to make partial payments on your deferment as long as the tuition is paid in full by your due date.
What will happen if I am unable to pay my VA Deferment?
A late fee of up to $50 dollars will be charged to your account and all college services will be suspended until the deferment is paid in full.
In addition, any unpaid VA deferments may be turned over to a collection agency or attorney and reported delinquent to a credit bureau. All collection costs, including attorney fees and other charges necessary for the collection of any amount not paid when due, are the responsibility of the student.
