The program for the AAS degree in Microcomputer Business Applications consists of 64 credits in courses which can be completed within two (2) years. The program includes courses in the following microcomputer areas: general usage and application, operating systems, word processing, database, and spreadsheets. Other skills which are integrated with the microcomputer training are Accounting, English, Math (including statistics), and business systems analysis and design. As many of the courses as possible are offered in the open entry/open exit format, to enable students to enter and complete the program in a timely and flexible manner.
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Microcomputer Applications consists of 27-31 credits, which can be completed in two (2) semesters. The program includes courses in the following microcomputer areas: general usage and applications, operating systems, word processing, database, and spreadsheets. Other business skills, which are integrated with the microcomputer training, are accounting, business calculations and English. As many of the courses as possible are offered in the open entry/open exit format to enable students to enter and complete the program in a timely and flexible manner. Upon completion, students should be able to operate a microcomputer and use a variety of software in a professional manner.
