University Transfer of GCC
courses
There are two ways to
determine how GCC courses will transfer to the public universities in
Arizona.
- AZ Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) for BIO, 2006-2007
This link
will allow you to navigate to a list of how biology courses taken during
the current academic year will transfer to the three public
universities in Arizona. This Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) will open
in a new window. On the first CEG menu, select Maricopa Community
College DIstrict and from the subsequent department listing, click BIO
to bring up a list of all BIO courses taught in the district and their
university equivalents. When you are finished reviewing this list,
close that window to return to this page.
- Individual course evaluation by query
This link
will allow you to look up individual courses taken during any
semester and determine how they transfer to the public universities
in Arizona.
Once you click on the link above, the CEG page will open in a new
window. Select the "Search All CEGs!" link towards the bottom of that
page to go to a course by course search engine. To start your search,
you will need to select the academic year when you took the course
from the pull down menu and Maricopa Community College District as the
"Source Institution." Type in the course number (e.g., BIO 102) (making
sure you have a space between the prefix BIO and the number), leave all
of the other spaces blank and simply click on the Query button. This
should bring up the equivalent courses and general education categories
for that course at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University,
and Northern Arizona University. Close this window when you are
finished to return to this page.
