IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ALL FACTORY SPONSORED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS
• You attend college eight (8) weeks of each 16 week semester semester.
• You will work full-time as a PAID technician apprentice for eight (8) weeks of each college semester, during the break between semesters and during the summer, beginning right after high school graduation. The income potential within two years of graduation is $35,000 - $40,000 per year.
• The technician apprenticeship position becomes a full-time automotive technician position with your sponsoring dealership upon graduation form GCC with a domestic car dealership sponsored AAS degree in automotives.
• The intent of these programs is for students to remain with the same dealership throughout the two year program as well as after graduation.
• To register for this degree program, students must be hired by a dealership as a technician apprentice (we will help potential students with the interview process and steer them to dealerships that have already agreed to sponsor apprentices).
• Remember, this opportunity provides you with the skills necessary to launch a successful career in the automotive industry and provides you an income potential of $50,000 to $75,000.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATION
To be eligible for these programs the applicant must be:
1. Age 18 or over at the time of first dealership work assignment.
- A high school graduate or GED equivalent
- Sponsored by a General Motors, Ford or Lincoln-Mercury, or Chrysler dealership. (Sponsorship determined after college-established interview process is complete.)
ESTIMATED STUDENT COSTS
All tuition, fees, and textbook costs are the responsibility of the student. Totals are approximately $1000 for tuition and fees and $200 to $400 for books each semester.
In addition, the student will need to begin accumulating a basic set of hand tools although no tools are necessary to begin the program. Costs can vary from $1000 to $1500, depending on options and brands selected. See the "LINKS" page for links to tool company student discount programs.
