Course Level Assessment
This level of assessment involves the individual courses taught by faculty. Course level assessment is the most varied of the levels of assessment. In some departments, a common tool or technique is employed by a discipline for each course (e.g. all faculty teaching Philosophy 101 use the same test). In other departments, tools and techniques vary greatly. The common denominator among all departments is that each is represented by a Course Assessment Liaison faculty member (Department Assessment Coordinator), who tracks and reports department progress and confers with other Department Liaison members and the Dean of Instruction each semester.
