WEB PUBLISHING DESIGN AAS
Program Description
Multimedia Web Publishing Design Program is a two year vocational progam. Students learn how to integrate graphics, photography, illustration, type design and digital media to create successful Web pages. Program majors are challenged to become proficient in new media technology, publishing languages and learn software such as Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Adobe Image Ready and other graphics applications. Hands-on projects in design, typography and animation interact with computer applications which help students develop visual concepts and enhance the ability to design for the Web. Students are informed about advancing technologies in Internet navigation and the information superhighway.
The Multimedia AAS degree in Web Publishing Design, requires completion of the General Studies requirements: 25 Credits, Multimedia Core required courses: 14 Credits, and the Completion of the Web Publishing Design Track: 19-21 Credits.
Recommended is that the students complete the Program Core(14 credits) and the selected General Studies Requirements (14-15 credits) during the first year of study.
