Glendale Community College offers Certificate programs, that are short term discipline specific Certificates and have no general studies requirements. Student can choose among the following:
Graphic Design
This program covers digital media,traditional design and communication methods that are essential to graphics. Project based courses stress concept development and visual problem solving, which lead to employment in the advertising, publishing and printing industry. Students explore the relationship between art, design and technology though coursework in design foundations, graphic design and software applications: layout, composition, typography, digital color, digital prepress, web design, portfolio development and communication methods.
Imaging and Design Foundation
The foundations certificate introduces the student to careers, portfolio development, and career preparation for multimedia design, imaging and animation. Media pricing, promotion and publicity, business ethics open opportunityies for employment digital artist, freelance artist-designer, animator, and entry level 3D model games artist.

Web Publishing Foundation
Designed for students who seek to enhance traditional graphic design and layout for advertising with Web publishing design.
Web Publishing Design and Authoring
Students learn to identify and use the advanced hypertext markup language, basics of Java Script, navigational aids, data indexing and Web software along with basics of design and layout applicable to Web page development.
