Course Description: Introduction to multiple elements of Adobe Illustrator software package using the microcomputer. Basic Foundation in the use of electronic techniques including appropriate input and output production devices.
Course Competencies:
1. Describe the specific characteristics and capabilities of the Adobe Illustrator software package.
2. Utilize electronic graphics and text as appropriate.
3. Edit graphics and format text applications.
4. Utilize Adobe Illustrator software package to create text and finished artwork.
5. Employ traditional design and composition concepts to critically evaluate artwork.
6. Execute final hardcopy from an appropriate printer and assemble into finished presentation of art as appropriate.
Grading Procedures: A standard grading scale will be used as follows:
90-100% = A, 80-89% = B, 70-79% = C, 60-69% = D Below 60% = F
