ART 167 Painting I F,S,D 3 credits 6 periods
Exploration of technical and expressive possibilities of various painting media in easel painting. Prerequisites: ART 111 and ART 112 or permission of instructor.

ART 168 Painting II F,S,D 3 credits 6 periods
Development of competency in skills and expression. Problems involving light, space, color, form and content in a variety of painting media. Prerequisites: ART 167 or approval of instructor.

ART 267 Painting III F,S,D 3 credits 6 periods
Development of materials and techniques of painting. Individual problem-solving. Prerequisites: ART 168 or permission of instructor.

ART 268 Painting IV F,S,D, 3 credits 6 periods
Advanced problems in painting. Study with greater emphasis on personal expression. Prerequisites: ART 267.

ART 290 Studio Art F,S,D,E,Su1,2 3 credits 6 periods
Studio course for art majors allowing continuation in subject field. Prerequisites: All 100 and 200 courses in subject matter area, or permission of instructor.

ART 295EA Art Workshop/Seminar: Painting 1 credit 2 periods
Advanced level workshop seminar in art disciplines. Prerequisites: Minimum of three (3) credits introductory and three (3) credits intermediate level courses in specific field, or permission of Department/Division Chair.
