Dave Fredericksen
1953 - 2010
It is with the greatest sadness that we report the sudden passing of one of our own. Dave was a loving husband & father, a passionate astronomer, a master teacher, an outstanding public servant, a stalwart pillar of the community, an outspoken advocate of thousands of students, and our dear friend and colleague. It has been a privilege to have worked with Dave for the past decade. Perhaps the only consolation we can derive in his passing is the pleasure to have known him for what now seems like all too little time. We will always miss his sense of humor, his positive attitude, his stories & jokes, and knowing that he would always be there for us when we needed him.
With respect to his memory, we do our best to carry on as he would have wanted us to and strive to be the kind of person that he was. We will think of him every time we look at the stars.
