Can faculty download and use student photos saved on the course roster site?
Yes, student photos can be downloaded and saved but they cannot be printed. They should never be accessible to anyone other than the instructor in order to follow FERPA guidelines.
Could the college schedule more TED classes during the evening for adjunct faculty?
Evening classes have been scheduled in the past but were not attended. The Training and Development Department would be glad to schedule classes if there is a demand. Please send requests to the TED web site (http://www.gc.maricopa.edu/ted).
Is it possible for the college to conduct an in-service class (guest instruction in the classroom) for students who are not familiar with computers?
We have never been asked to do this, but that does not mean we can't. If this is a one-time "help us log into the eGCC" type session, our Instructional Computing Department can send a qualified staff member to a classroom. Requests for more complicated instruction may indicate a different need and would be evaluated on an individual basis.
