Organizational Management (AAS)

Program Information

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Organizational Management program is designed with a customized curriculum specific to the student’s individual needs in addition to the knowledge and skills needed in today’s changing workplace. The program provides leadership and communication skills and techniques for planning, directing, and evaluating business situations, with an emphasis on effective allocation of time, money, materials, space, and personnel.

Program Notes

This degree program includes an embedded Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Organizational Leadership.

You must earn a grade of C or better for all courses within the program.

You must complete 20 credits of industry/job-related Restricted Electives (RE) from any MCCCD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program or Academic Certificate (AC). Industry-job-related course credits must include a minimum of nine (9) credits with a common subject or theme. Program of study must be approved by the Business Department Chair or designee.

Some RE courses may have prerequisites/corequisites that are not included in the total program credits. If you are interested in taking courses with additional requisites you will need to adjust your academic plan to include these courses OR obtain permission from your instructor to waive these requirements.

If you are transferring to a state university, you should select general education requirement courses [SB, HU] with [L, C, G and/or H] designation values.
