Firefighter Operations (CCL)

Program Information

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Firefighter Operations provides the opportunity for individuals seeking employment in various firefighting settings to acquire the minimum standard firefighting skills needed in the field.

Program Notes

You must obtain a "C" grade or better in all courses required within the program.

The courses in this program may all also be applied towards the Fire Operations track of the Associate degree (AAS) in Emergency Response and Operations if you wish to continue your studies.  The Emergency Response and Operations AAS also has a track in Fire Science (with its own embedded CCL) which may be more appropriate for your academic and professional goals.  The guidance of the Program Director is recommended.

EMT104 requires students to complete additional hours in a competency-based clinical, vehicular, and/or scenario based experience. At GCC students are required to take EMT104AB to meet this requirement.

Admissions Requirements:

Formal written application and admission to the program is required.  Applications are available online and should be submitted the semester before desired start date for the Academy.
