Fire Officer Leadership (CCL)

Program Information

The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Fire Officer Leadership program may be useful to professional firefighters seeking promotions and salary advancement within the Fire Services. The program will provide courses for experienced professional firefighters who desire to learn advanced fireground tactics and strategy, building construction, practical incident command, supervisory training of personnel, and human resource management.

Program Notes

This program is not currently eligible for federal financial aid.

You must obtain a "C" grade or better in all courses required within the program.

This program is limited to professional firefighters or individuals who otherwise have permission of the Program Director.

Recommended Course Sequence

Semester I 9 Credits Grade Sem/Year

Prerequisite course for FSC204 and FSC 208 will be waived for individuals with a current fire department identification.

FSC 202 Supervisory Training for Firefighters AND/OR 3    
FSC 204 Firefighting Tactics and Strategy 3    
FSC 208 Firefighter Safety and Building Construction 3    
Semester II 6 Credits Grade Sem/Year
