Business Office Computer Applications (AAS)

Program Information

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Business Office Computer Applications degree includes courses in the following areas: general office computer usage and applications, operating systems, word processing, database, and spreadsheets. Other business skills, including accounting, English, math (including statistics), and business systems analysis and design, are integrated in the program. The curriculum is designed to help prepare students to use common business computer application software in a professional office setting.

Program Notes

You must earn a grade of “C” or better in all courses required within this program.

The semesters in which general education courses (SB, HU, COM, and Science) are suggested are flexible and may be switched in sequence. You should consider taking one or more of these courses during the summer session in order to distribute your class load more evenly between the semesters.

A total of 7-10 credits of Restricted Electives are required for this program. Some restricted electives may have prerequisites and/or corequisites that are not included in the total program credits. If you are interested in taking restricted electives that had additional requisites, you will need to adjust your academic plan to incorporate these courses, or obtain permission from your instructor to waive these requirements based on prior experience and/or training.

If you are interested in continuing your education, courses in this CCL program may be applied towards a second CCL in Business Office Assistant.

For more information, contact an Academic Advisor or the Program Director.
