Dancers and Musicians Honored

Congratulations to our GCC students who earned honors in the MCCCD Music and Dance competitions.

Cory Collins, Henry Bayless and Ricardo Araiza took second place in chamber music. Henry Bayless, George Ramirez, Sam Fernandez, Luis Martinez, Nicky Dewberry, Alfredo Vazquez, Jason Robertson, Christopher Jaime and Ricardo Araiza took Honorable Mention in chamber music.

Guitar Studio soloists:  Ruben Moreno, first place; Alfredo Vazquez, second place; Henry Bayless, third place; and David Gillies, honorable mention.

Christian Garba took first place in piano. There have been more than 370 hits of a video sampling of Garba’s skills on GCC Youtube. Bricen Philips took second place in piano.

Dancers Jaylene Verhaagen took first place in Solo Performance and Kayley Thompson took third place in Group Choreography.
