Vets Help FYE Vets

Our Veteran Services Center is offering yet another way to foster success among those returning from service to our country. This coming fall semester, a veteran-focused First Year Experience group is being initiated to provide students with mentoring by vets as well as the opportunity to share the college experience with those who have gone through military experiences.

FYE is a structured academic program that links a group of students through instructors, assignments and lectures. In addition to academics, the cohort members learn college success skills such as organization, note taking, testing strategies, study techniques, stress management and time scheduling.

Students can find out more by stopping by the Veteran Services Center located just northwest of the Student Union or contacting Charity Torres, VSC program advisor.
