MLK Honored by GCC

Martin Luther King Jr. is being honored on campus 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Jan. 24 in the Student Union room 104E. Pastor Warren H. Earlier this month, President Irene Kovala was the keynote speaker at the annual tribute to Dr. King held by the Northwest Black History Committee in Surprise.  

Dr. Carnella Hardin, business faculty emeritus at GCC, was one of six honored at the 26th annual MLK Awards Breakfast, "Stand Up for Justice," Friday, Jan. 13. Dr. Hardin and the other recipients received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Living the Dream Award, honoring those who have made Phoenix a better place to live through a life-long commitment to creating a compassionate and socially just society.
